Lutyens Garden Benches - Outdoors in the Garden, Schools and Public Parks

Lutyens Garden Benches are a beautifully designed focal point in any garden. If you think your outdoor seating area deserves a bit of sofistication, have a look at these great benches.

Sir Edwin Lutyens was born on the 29th of March 1869. He began his work as an astounding architect in 1888 and devoted his life to it. During his working life, he designed over 36 major English country houses and altered and improved many more. Notably - he designed the monument Cenotaph, The Tower Hill Memorial and he built the Viceroy's House (known as the Rashtrapati Bhavan), New Delhi, Johannesburg Art Gallery, the British Embassy in Washington along with many other incredible buildings.

With many furniture designs was his Lutyens Garden Bench, one of our favourite designs. The unique frame around the beautifully ordered slats on the back, and a carefully carved backrest, supplied with the distincitve armrests were designed beautifully by this incredible man over 100 years ago. His Garden benches are as beautifully designed as all his incredible designs that he produced in his life. In an outdoor environment, having a beautifully crafted Teak Lutyens Bench is about as luxerious as you can get. We have seen Lutyens Benches in Parks, Outside Offices and are very popular in the garden as well.
