Benches as memorials and special gifts: Engraving Service

When a loved one passes away, there is often a great desire to mark their passing with a memorial of some kind. This is often a very hard and personal decision. At White Stores we are here to help you in any way we can to make the right choice for you and your needs.

A bench is a particularly popular choice as a memorial because it can be positioned in a sentimental or important place. If someone special spent a lot of time in your garden a bench with a poignant engraving is a really lovely choice. Our engraving service allows you to personalise your selection either by engraving directly on to the bench or affixing an engraved plaque.

A particular favourite example of ours is the quote from the movie Notting Hill, "For June, who loved this garden, from Joseph who always sat beside her”.

Our engraving service is also very popular for benches being given as special gifts; wedding days, births, important birthdays, even a marriage proposal have all been marked with one of our beautifully designed benches. The tradition placement of an engraving is on the top back rail, but we can also engrave on the front rail - behind your knees. Note: Wooden insert only available on benches 5’ and over with a straight top. (1030mm long, 2 lines of writing. Other options available on request.)
