Teak is a fantastic wood. Benches that are made using Teak are unique, because if the wood is left in its natural state - is virtually maintenance-free. Wooden Garden Benches can be seen rotting and peeling in many places, which is something that can be easily avoided if you opt for teak.
Over time your Teak Bench if left Outdoors and Untreated in the sun, will patina and turn a beautiful silvery, grey colour - simply an aesthetic change and it will not affect the strength or durability of a Bench. Many people let their Garden Benches age gracefully, and this choice is not a bad one - as the greying is just a protective layer on top of the wood...the great bit is that if you let your Bench weather outdoors, it is not permanent you can use a decent Teak Cleaner to get it back to its former glory.
If you want to preserve the natural honey colour of your Teak Bench, or your aim is to get a darker Garden Bench - you can apply any number of great Teak care Products. We have a range of Golden Care oils and cleaners for our Garden Benches and would highly recommend planning how you would like your Bench to age whilst placing your order - why not get your Protecter, Patinizer or Cleaner at the same time?
